MV Manta Queen 6

At 22 meters in length, Manta Queen 6 is medium size and has an excellent service & safety record. Many guests enjoy and recommend diving safaris on this popular boat. Manta Queen 6 is ideal for pairs of travellers and those on their own. There are far fewer people (14) aboard this liveaboard boat than most others which sail to the Similan Islands & Richelieu Rock, thus ensuring more friendly and enjoyable trips. Lots of our divers choose to complete a PADI diving course on liveaboard cruises, and Manta Queen 6 is no exception. The 4-day & 4-night liveaboard cruises offer lucky guests the opportunity to visit all of the best diving sites in the area, including Richelieu Rock and some wreck dives. Unlike her competitors in the market, cruises include 15 dives compared to the more common 14. This is made up of three day dives and a night or sunset dive for the first three diving days, then three day dives on the day of sailing back to Khao Lak.

Manta Queen 6 Similan Islands liveaboard is a great vessel for diving at the Similan Islands in Thailand. She finds a good balance between size (comfort & stability) and keeping things more personal & friendly. She offers her passengers the chance to socialize in small groups as well as hide away from others and relax. There are seven twin-bed cabins. The wood-lined cabins are clean and cozy, with air-conditioning and en suite European bathrooms. However, it is worth noting that two cabins share each bathroom. This is easily done by the bathrooms having two doors, one for each cabin. Access is direct, making them 'en suite.' There are other bathrooms on the boat, too. Thai and Western cuisine is served several times throughout each day and evening, with inexpensive beer available to buy after the final dive.

Like all of the Manta Queen fleet, Manta Queen 6 Similan Islands liveaboard offers incredibly good-value cruises. In addition, the prices include all meals, tea & coffee, fruit & snacks, drinking water and even pick up and drop off from local hotels & resorts. However, regardless of the price, diving aboard Manta Queen 6 is still a safe & comfortable experience. The staff are qualified, well trained and service minded. The equipment is all in excellent working order and nothing is left to chance. 

New for October 2018 there is free Wi-Fi on Manta Queen 6. This signal relies on a local mast at The Similan Islands, and is therefore not available throughout the whole cruise such as when MQ6 is further away at Richelieu Rock.

Please note that some other websites show Manta Queen 6's trips to be 5D/4N and they even show a daily rate around €120. This is incorrect and very misleading. The trips depart in the evening and return in the afternoon (around 92 hours later), so they are clearly not five days in length even though they do span five calendar dates. The trip price of approximately €600 should therefore not be divided by 5 days to make a daily rate.
