Nemo 2 Overview
Nemo 2 shuttles divers to its sister boat MV Nemo 1. This way, you get the best of both worlds. You can reach the dive sites quickly but still dive from, relax & enjoy lunch on a brand-new large dive boat that is far more comfortable. It’s perfect! The owners of Nemo 1 & 2 are extremely experienced in diving from Koh Lak to Thailand’s best dive sites. 100% Swiss owned, the day trips run like clockwork – the world’s best clockwork. Please note that you need to stay in Khao Lak, not Phuket, the night before your Nemo 2 day trip.
Enjoying the best of both world's is the ideal way to go daytrip diving at The Similan Islands. Guests can stay in a Khao Lak hotel, then around two hours later be on a large & luxurious scuba diving liveaboard that is floating in crystal-clear tropical water. The speedboat journey is around an hour, depending on the exact destination and the sea conditions. Once you arrive on Nemo 1 (brand new in 2017), you can grab a bite to eat before the briefing and first dive. After the dive, a proper sit-down lunch is served, and then relax on this large, purpose-built diving liveaboard. The necessary-length surface interval can include some snorkelling, sunbathing or socialising with other guests. Then after dive #2 it's time to jump back on the speedboat and return to Khao Lak. Most other Similan diving day trips involve everyone staying on the speedboat or catamaran for the whole day, which isn't as comfortable, especially when it's time to eat or there are some waves.
Diving takes place at the best dive sites of the central and northern Similan Islands from Wednesday to Sunday, and Koh Bon on Mondays & Koh Tachai on Tuesdays. Only the very best and special dive sites are repeated, ensuring that everyone gets to see something new and different. Snorkelling guests are welcome at discounted prices, and a good day’s safe fun is almost guaranteed. The whole day is extremely well-organised but in a way that allows everyone to safely enjoy the diving, dining, travelling and picturesque views.
Being Swiss owned & run, the Nemo team like to make sure that everything goes according to plan and on time, from the first day of the season to the last. Because of this, it's important for all guests to stay in Khao Lak the night before your Nemo 2 day trip, and to 'check in' at the dive centre before 7pm the day before. This enables the team to sort everything out, such as equipment sizes, checking certification cards, and signing a little paperwork.

The most-popular courses are PADI AOWD (Advanced Open Water Diver), but there are others, including the Adventure Deep, Nitrox, and others.
Nemo 2 Itinerary
Each day on Nemo 2 has the same itinerary with regards to timing. Only the diving locations are different.
To be fair to all other guests joining Nemo daytrips, the driver cannot wait for anyone who is late for their pickup. The dive centre owners pride themselves on punctuality and professionalism. They are only able to provide this if guests abide by the pickup times. Guest who are not on time will be considered a ‘no show.’

Nemo 2 Transfer Details
Nemo guests are picked up for free from most Khao Lak hotels, guesthouses and resorts. Locations far to the north incur a small fee and pick up is earlier. In general, pick ups are from 6.45am - 7.45am, depending on the location.
At the end of the trip, you are dropped off at their chosen Khao Lak hotel or destination. The boat normally returns to Tab Lamu Pier at 4.45pm and transfers begin immediately.
Please note it is not possible for guests staying in Phuket before the trip to join, and those who want to return to Phuket afterwards, but transfers are not for free. The Nemo team can transfer guests to the bus station, or we can arrange a private taxi.

The booking process for Nemo 2 is very simple & convenient. Firstly, ask us to reserve a space in the cabin of your on the date/trip that you would like to join. We are happy to do this for free, and without any commitment from you. When you are ready to confirm, we ask for full payment upon booking. This payment is most-commonly made via PayPal, and there are no fees at all for you, the customer. You don't even need a Paypal account, although PayPal do encourage you to open one. The PayPal invoice can be sent to any email address and payment can be made by anyone.
Cancellation policy:
Cancellation fees depend on the time and reason for cancelling. Please contact us for details. The management of Nemo are both considerate & flexible whenever possible regarding customer cancellations.
Most travel insurance policies can protect you from unforeseen cancellation penalties.
